Going to trial can be stressful. There are hundreds of tasks to get done and details to focus on… and they all need your attention now! Let LitiCourt help you with both technical and mundane tasks so you can focus on the lawyering.
Trial Technicians
LitiCourt has conscientious and trustworthy trial technicians proven in court trials, arbitrations, and an occasional mediation. Our technicians will have your video clips and scanned exhibits ready to display at a moment’s notice. We take care of all the technical details, so you can focus on the law, argument, and questioning witnesses.
Professional Equipment Rental
Depending on the courthouse, the courtroom will already have audio/visual technology or you will need a projector and screen and/or monitors for judge, witness and counsel table, and large screen for the jury, speakers and maybe a visual presenter (ELMO). We will work with you to determine your needs, and the court clerk to determine what the courtroom has and needs, and the preferred setup timing and requirements of the judge and clerk. We will provide and setup the equipment and show you how to operate it, or if we are providing a trial technician, he or she will operate everything for you.
Exhibit Book Preparation
LitiCourt will prepare exhibit binders for you, opposing counsel, the court, and the witness stand. We will print, scan and print, or copy your exhibits as necessary, and can add bates stamps to meet court requirements or your preferences. If you are using electronic trial presentation software we will scan the trial exhibits for either you or us to import them into your or our trial presentation software.
Video-clip Creation
For some cases you may need just a few key deposition video clips, and for other cases you may want to have Q and A pairs ready for most questions you plan on asking at trial, requiring hundreds or thousands of video clips. Some clients use or have us provide a trial technician to operate full featured trial presentation software - other clients just want to use simple software that is already on their computer. Whatever your needs, LitiCourt is here to help.
If you know how you want to present your video clips, we will make them in that format and according to your preferred naming convention. If you are unsure how you want to present your video clips, we will have a short dialog and recommend the appropriate software and naming convention for your needs.
Synchronization Of Videotaped Depositions Shot By Or Reported By Other Providers
Often between your office and opposing counsel, many court reporters and videographers have provided service on any given case. If you are going to use deposition video at trial, it is usually best to have it synchronized with the transcript so you can easily make video clips. We can take transcripts reported by other reporters and video shot by other videographers, and convert it into a consistent format and synchronize the transcript with the video – so it’s ready and easy to use.
Conversion And Editing Of Non-deposition Video
While most video is deposition video, sometimes your will need to show a product or site documentation; sometimes you will want to show store camera video showing an accident; sometimes you will want to show a party’s home video of their life before an accident, or surveillance video of their life after an accident. Whatever the case, it needs to be in a format that you can easily play at court and edited to show the relevant portions of the video – LitiCourt will prepare it to meet your needs.
